We are thrilled to announce Mick Molina as our new Senior Women’s coach for season 2019!

Mick is a past player at the Waverley Blues, a star cricketer and runner, and last year was assistant coach and runner of our Senior Women’s team. By already being familiar with our Club and our Women’s team Mick has already hit the ground running by taking preseason training in Nov/Dec at Wesley College and will kick off the 2019 preseason with the Women’s team on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Pinewood Reserve from 6pm - starting on Tuesday 29th January. The Women’s season is likely to commence in late April. It’s an exciting time to be involved in our Women’s team with the upgraded Pinewood rooms now complete.

Mick will be supported by last years assistant coach Liam Gardner, however the Club is seeking more assistant coaches to help both Mick and Liam. If interested in coaching please contact . The Waverley Blues supports all coaches by paying for their AFL Level 1 Coaching Course Fees and being involved in our ‘Coach the Coaches’ program led by Senior Coach Bryce McGain.

The Club would also like to say a massive thank you to departing coach Chris Goldstraw who takes a break from coaching in 2019. Chris has single handedly led the success of our Women’s football team from day one in January 2017 (where we had 6 players turn up), leading them to a Grand Final berth in its first season and finals in 2018. We now have a very strong and committed Women’s team who look out for each other both on and off the field and are all becoming great Club people!

If interested in playing or supporting our teams in 2019 please let us know. For more details about player registration refer too:
