Together with the Wantirna South Football Club, The Waverley Blues are joining Team Lace Up and the movement to end social violence when we meet at Mount Waverley Reserve this coming Saturday (25th June)
Both teams players will wear orange laces during the clash, helping to raise awareness around social violence and the consequences a violent decision can make.
Social violence is interpersonal physical violence that occurs in a community setting ( - including pub brawls, fights on the street and in the schoolyard).
Already in 2016, eight lives have been lost to social violence in Australia.
That’s why we‘re joining the 40,000 Australians showing their commitment to ending social violence by joining the Step Back think Team lace up campaign and wearing orange laces during Lace Up Week (June 20 – 26).
Together we can drive cultural change to end social violence.
