CARBONI COMMITS TO THE BLUES IN 2016

Waverley Blues senior coach, Ben Carboni has signed on to lead the club again in season 2016.

PRESIDENT GAVIN KAYE SAYS "We are thrilled to have Ben back on board as senior coach for season 2016. Ben has provided fantastic leadership both as a player and coach in his 2 years back with the club. His contribution & interaction to all facets of the club including with our junior players & parents, Sponsors and Supporters is exceptional. We are striving for continual improvement and growth as a club and feel that in Ben, we have the perfect man to lead the charge."

BEN HIMSELF IS CERTAINLY EXCITED MOVING FORWARD

"The last 2 years have been easily my most enjoyable years being involved in footy.
I'm lucky to be involved in a club with people that care about footy the way I believe I do.
We share the same visions, dreams and ideals for the future of the club. Which is obviously reaching the ultimate prize in footy, at the same time as ensuring the future of the club is in good shape. Without the continuous guidance and support of these people I simply couldn't perform as a player or coach, so to those people I say thanks, and I can't wait to continue our relationships as we keep to our task.
Why am i on board again...??? The reinstatement of the under 19s, which is currently in great shape thanks to another young coach Nutter McCulloch and his assistants, and of course a terrific group of young men who will eventually take over from our elder statesmen.
The continued improvement of the senior side, and when the list is full and fit with availability's the reserves side guided by my mate Luke Taunt.
A place I get to go 3 times a week almost year round and spend time with mates I've had for years and new mates I've made who I'll no doubt have for life.
I will continue to do everything I can to help the club and all it's stakeholders reach the success it deserves.
It's a great place to be involved in and I'm proud to be having another crack at it with everyone involved"

Congratulations Ben and keep up the good work for this season and beyond!

GO BLUES!
