Waverley Blues are delighted to announce ex-Brisbane Lions player, Billy Evans, as an aligned player for the 2018 season. In his second season with the Box Hill Hawks, Billy is a strong midfielder and when available for the Blues, will contribute strongly to our 2018 campaign. When asked why he chose the Blues to align with, Billy said it was a combination of factors: “I’ve been very impressed with Bryce and his coaching style. To then have development coaches of the quality of Lindsay Gilbee and Paul Hudson is fantastic and the overall approach of the Club is very professional. I’m also looking forward to playing with some mates from back home who are also with the Blues if the opportunity arises”. Billy played 7 senior games over 2 seasons with the Lions and followed up with 7 games for Box Hill Seniors before injury curtailed his 2017 season. Welcome to the Blues Billy! #blues18
