After a successful 2019, the Waverley Blues Football Netball Club are seeking applicants for the below paid positions for season 2020 and beyond. • Senior Head Coach (playing or non-playing) • Senior Assistant Coaches (playing or non-playing) • Football Manager The Waverley Blues currently play in Division 3 of the Eastern Football League and have a strong up and coming playing list, have a healthy off field financial position, and supportive committee and volunteer group. All three of our senior Men’s teams made finals in 2019, including our Seniors who played in the Grand Final. The Club also has a talented group of Juniors coming through with the u15s and u17s going deep into finals this year – so it’s an exciting time to be involved with our Club. The Football Manager role will be well supported by an experienced group of volunteers who have previously fulfilled the role. Suitable remuneration will be negotiated with successful applicants. WAVERLEY BLUES COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT On Tuesday night the club convened a football review panel. It provided opportunity to convey a robust discussion toward our club’s current situation and outlook. The decision was made to seek change with our senior coaching appointment in 2020. The club will advertise and pursue a new senior coach to continue our on field development program. Bryce McGain is an outstanding member of our club. He has been a stoic leader with his coaching commitments for several years. The McGain legacy with our Junior Academy, premierships in U15, U17 and this years Grand Final appearance represent outstanding achievements. On behalf of the club we thank Bryce for his commitment, professionalism and maturity. All members will have opportunity to thank Bryce in person tomorrow night at our Presentation Night. Our club is in a strong position on and off the field as we look to strategically strengthen our playing status in 2020. Please join me in thanking Bryce for his significant contribution. WORKING BEE - THIS SUNDAY 15th SEPT If you are available anytime from 10am this Sunday please drop into the club to help Max Wiseman and others with a spruce up of the Club rooms at Mt Waverley Reserve. We'll be doing stock takes, cleaning, packing and cleaning of the storerooms. If you can make it please like this post and comment what time you can drop by. Given the fun we've all had the last few weeks there it would be great if you can put back a few hours to help Maxwell Wiseman and co out We'll look at providing drinks/food for those who can make it
